Book 2 - Xtonitch

Chapter 2 - Parley

Xtonitch was excited because this seedy karaoke bar had all the tenants of a perfect night for a demon.  He then went in search of a target.  He found the perfect prey.  A man in his late twenties, early thirties, obviously well into his cups.  Watching him it was obvious he just went through a big break up and now Xtonitch had a vessel to create mayhem.

Jesus teaches that “the thief comes only to steal and destroy.”6  It really is the only explanation of why Demons do what they do, but they are creatures of eternity, wicked, smart, or “wicked smart” if you’re from Boston, but they are beings of patience and opportunity.  They will build you up so the fall will be greater, the sorrow deeper and the pain more difficult.

So what did Xtonitch do?  He made this vessel a legend!  It became the perfect evening for him.  He coerced him to go up on stage and then graced his voice with the divine.  The man couldn’t carry a tune prior, and karaoke mortally terrified him.
